WIDE-SHOT

LEA CERAMICHE

Carlos Rosario International PCS cooking school, Washington DC

In the luminous common areas of the Carlos Rosario International PCS cooking school visually interact with the exterior. Here Lea Ceramiche‘s ultra-thin slabs of laminated porcelain clad the entire surface area. The effect is echoing the exterior cladding which also made use of large slabs applied on a thermal insulation system.

The building was inaugurated in November 2013 in Washington DC. It contains a resource centre, offices, English and computer science classrooms, four culinary laboratories with kitchens, and a large caffetteria.

LEA CERAMICHE

Slimtech

Thin and Light (a piece of 40×40” that is 3 mm thick weighs only 15.4 lbs), Slimtech by Lea Ceramiche is ideal for the renewal of floors. The thin slab can be simply laid over the old surface avoiding demolition and production of waste. This drastically reduces installation time and the existing doors don’t need to be cut or filed.

Easy to cut, shape, perforate and install, thanks to its reduced thickness, Slimtech allows for great precision and continuity in the plan of the floor. Moreover, with less joints, it reduces the problems of maintenance and sanitation, particularly in public areas.

Type 32 Slimtech by Diego Grandi

Type 32 Slimtech by LEA Ceramiche begins with matter but ultimately transcends it.

On slabs of laminated stoneware with a wood effect, the project surprises with graphics offered in 4 colour variations. This allows infinite combinations and creates an original and unusual variation on decorated flooring.
