PROJECTS | Wall&decò | Hotel Juliana – Brussels

Hotel Juliana – located in the heart of Brussels – is a treasure chest that combines styles, works of art and furnishing elements, to give life to a rare and refined project.

The brasserie area opens with the unconventional yet striking application of wallpaper to the ceiling: the golden lines of the details of the ‘Osiride‘ wallpaper, here in the Bronzage support, with a metallic effect that accentuates the golden tones, gives a warm and precious atmosphere in harmony with the precious curtains.

The corridors that run through the lounge area are a tribute to art: the arches of the ‘Chronos‘ wallpaper welcome antique furniture and works of art in a unique design.

The large staircase leading to the rooms offers a clear dialogue between different surfaces: the ‘Sangallo‘ wallpaper is designed to reflect the color tones of the mosaic next door, in a game of amber nuances.

Finally, each room is characterized by a very precise style: ‘Desus‘ wallpaper imposes itself on the Signature suite for the entire height of the walls-dominating the view of the city center, while ‘Antiqua‘ – with its geometric features and capitals – amalgamates with the clean lines of the architecture and ceilings.

A project that stands out for the accentuated level of customization of refined spaces rich in details.

Pebble Collection

Mac Stopa‘s Pebble Collection for Mosaico Digitale is a wall tile with a tessellating star shape. The tile is made from smaller pebble-shaped forms in resin. Using a special design geometry, Mac creates a stunning organic mosaic effect achieved without any recognizable divisions between the tiles.

Thanks to the new resin technology the tile is strong but light-weight, durable yet flexible, and gives the possibility to replicate any photographic image on the tile, including graphic designs.

By changing the color of the tiles and the color of the grouting between the tiles. As a result, different graphic expressions on the finished surface may be achieved.

The tiles are available in a variety of colors, including solid and mirrored, are eco-friendly and 100% water proof. A perfect solution for wall tiles in the bathroom as well as for swimming pools.

One of many tile patterns that Mac designed for the collection, the Trulli pattern, exhibited during NeoCon 2015 in Chicago and winner of a Best of NeoCon Gold Award. Trulli is inspired by ancient trulli architecture, a tipical construction of the Puglia region in Italy. The Trulli symbols digitized in a 3D wave pattern with the colors of sea anemone give the pattern a distinct Mediterranean vibe.
